During the early stages of pregnancy, there are chances of getting diabetes. Sugar is something that people get from the daily diet as it gives sufficient energy to the body to function effectively. But it is necessary to consume it in required quantity; otherwise, it may lead to some kind of disorder. In that case, the body will not produce insulin.

It the presence of insulin in our body that can help the body in keeping the sugar or glucose levels low. The major role of the insulin is to convert the sugar into proteins. This further helps in bringing the sugar levels down. If insulin is not produced in the required amount, the sugar consumed will not be broken down into proteins and this would increase the sugar levels in the body.
